Choosing Between a House and an Apartment

My husband and I talked for a long time about where we wanted to move. We knew that it was going to be in the same area because we both have good jobs here. We also have a two year old daughter, and we wanted to make sure that we were going to be in a really good school district for her. Even though she will not start for three years, we wanted to be in the right district for when the time came. We could not decide if we wanted to look at a Silver Springs apartment or look for another rental house like we had been living in before it got sold.

We did have the option to buy it ourselves, but we both knew that we were not ready to be homeowners just yet. We wrote down the pros and cons of living in an apartment as well as a house, and the funniest thing happened. The list for the apartment looked a lot more attractive for living there rather than in a house. The biggest factor for my husband was not having to do yard work or take care of snowy or ice covered sidewalks and driveways in the winter months.

For me, it was because the apartment that we had looked at at the Ashford At Woodlake complex had everything I could ever want there. We were able to get a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, a den, and a balcony. It was actually more room than what we had at the house, and we would no longer have to go to the laundromat to do laundry because there are hookups in the apartment. There is also a swimming pool, a children’s pool, and a playground right there on the property. There is not a single thing to not like about it!
